4&#215;4\/motorisation et sa technologie embarqu\u00e9e faisant d&rsquo;elle une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence internationale dans ce domaine. Elle est fabriqu\u00e9 \u00e0 Graz en Autriche chezSteyr Puch, entreprise renomm\u00e9e pour ses v\u00e9hicules tout terrain et qui participa \u00e0 sa conception. Elle est disponible en version courte (3 portes), longue (5 portes) et cabriolet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Elle fait partie de la cat\u00e9gorie des \u00ab&nbsp;baroudeurs&nbsp;\u00bb tels que ces principaux concurrents&nbsp;: Hummer H1 et H2, Jeep Wrangler,Land Rover Defender. Le Peugeot P4 est une variante de ce v\u00e9hicule.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ce v\u00e9hicule est apparu sur le march\u00e9 en <a title=\"1979\" href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1979\">1979<\/a> alors qu&rsquo;il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 pour des applications militaires et a \u00e9volu\u00e9 du statut d&rsquo;utilitaire vers celui de 4&#215;4 de luxe, s&#8217;embourgeoisant au fil de ses \u00e9volutions. Si elle su moderniser sa pr\u00e9sentation int\u00e9rieure (et ext\u00e9rieure) au fil des ans, avec notamment une \u00e9volution r\u00e9cente de la planche de bord, ce v\u00e9hicule n&rsquo;en demeure pas moins un vrai tout terrain, notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une particularit\u00e9 assez rare, celle de disposer en s\u00e9rie de trois blocages de diff\u00e9rentiels, \u00e0 l&rsquo;instar de son \u00ab&nbsp;cousin&nbsp;\u00bb le Steyr-Puch <a title=\"Pinzgauer (v\u00e9hicule)\" href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pinzgauer_(v%C3%A9hicule)\">Pinzgauer<\/a>. Le revers de la m\u00e9daille de cette conception trid\u00e9c\u00e9nale est un comportement routier d&rsquo;un autre \u00e2ge d\u00fb \u00e0 son ch\u00e2ssis s\u00e9par\u00e9 et ses essieux rigides qui ont conserv\u00e9 de grand d\u00e9battements. Ces solutions font certes merveille en tout terrain mais ne brillent gu\u00e8re sur la route. En version sportive<a title=\"Mercedes-AMG\" href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mercedes-AMG\">AMG<\/a>, le ch\u00e2ssis est compl\u00e8tement d\u00e9pass\u00e9 par la puissance du V8 compress\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Elle est actuellement dot\u00e9e d&rsquo;une <a title=\"Bo\u00eete de vitesses\" href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bo%C3%AEte_de_vitesses\">bo\u00eete<\/a> automatique \u00e0 sept rapports (la 7G-Tronic) avec passage manuel des vitesses en mode s\u00e9quentiel, suspension \u00e0 essieu rigide \u00e0 l&rsquo;avant et \u00e0 l&rsquo;arri\u00e8re, antipatinage, syst\u00e8me de stabilit\u00e9, dispositif \u00e0 quatre roues motrices permanentes et trois blocages de diff\u00e9rentiels (avant, central, arri\u00e8re) en s\u00e9rie.
